The South London Gallery, housed in an impressive building in Camberwell, is a contemporary art space with a reputation for showcasing renowned exhibitions and live art events from international and local artists. You can visit their five exhibitions a year for free, and drop in for a multitude of talks, live events, film or children’s activities for only a small fee.
Leave ample time after visiting the South London Gallery to browse their creative book shop with a variety of curated books, magazines, catalogues, music, postcards, children’s books and gifts.
Don’t forget to try out their cafe whilst you’re there – No.67 – open from dusk ’til dawn serving brilliant brunches and delicious treats. In fact, if art isn’t your thing, but food is, then just make a trip to try out the cafe alone.
