This amazing green space and park, joins the corners of Brockley and St. Johns and commands amazing views over the city of London.
Standing 175 feet above sea level, this is one oasis in South East London providing a welcome relief from the hectic life of the surrounding Lewisham areas.
Even in the height of summer, Hilly Fields is a tranquil place to visit. With only the locals taking advantage of the many facilities, this park never feels crowded and being surrounded by some of the best views in London, you’ll never feel claustrophobic, only totally inspired.
Make your way towards the top of Hilly Fields and look out for the twelve stone circles and two tall shadow casting stones erected to mark the Millennium. Then head right to the top and take a break at the Hilly Fields Pistachios cafe which serves good coffee, and delicious sandwiches, soups and home made cakes.
Hilly Fields is also one of the best places to watch the New Year’s eve fireworks – watch at least five displays at once across the London Skyline from this vantage point, plus you won’t get stuck in the crowds.
